The first award is the Arte y Pico Award (Peak of Art), awarded to me by Susan of She’s Becoming DoughMessTic! First of all, how clever is that blog name? Love it! Susan is a fellow TWDer and has proved to be fabulous baker! Go check out her TWD Cream Puff Rings and you’ll see what I mean!
Why did I receive this Award? Well… According to Susan:
The photos this girl takes are stunning, not to mention, her food looks delicious. Don’t take my word for it, go see for yourself!

The rules for the award are:
-I have to pick five blogs who deserve this award because the content of their blog is creative, interesting, and they inspire the blogging community.
-Each recipient has to have their name and link back to their blog.
-The recipient must display the award and link back to the blog that awarded them the award.
-The recipient must also show the link back to Arte y Pico blog so everyone knows the origin of the award.
Here are my recipients:
1 & 2. Katie of Good Things Catered and The Hyper Homemaker (that’s right I’m giving two of the same award to one person). Have you been to her blogs? They really are a work of art and she is incredibly talented, a Domestic Goddess for sure!
3. Marie of A Year From Oak Cottage. Marie’s blog is beyond inspiring! It is full of beautiful photos, words of wisdom and encouragement, original artwork, and fantastic recipes. I can’t believe she hasn’t received this award long ago!
4. Donna of Spatulas, Corkscrews & Suitcases. Her photos are lovely, her food looks delicious, she’s a wonderful person, and she creates all her culinary masterpieces while living on a boat (sometimes lacking an oven)!
5. Cheryl of Adventures of a Food Slut. Cheryl has recently been making the transition into a vegan/vegetarian lifestyle. This is something I often think of doing myself and she is an inspiration! Go check out her blog; she’s doing a brilliant job!!!
Now on to the other Award/Give-Away:
I’ve been awarded the Scan My Recipes Award and get to pass it on to one lucky reader.
Because Carrie’s Kitchen Creations displays an appreciation and creative use of recipes, we at KeyIngredient.com would like to award both you and a reader of your blog with our ScanMyRecipes.com service. We’ll scan 50 recipes for both you and a reader of your blog, for free.
ScanMyRecipes.com, recognized in the May 2008 issue of Everyday with Rachael Ray, will scan, retype, and store your recipe collections online in a private KeyIngredient.com account. ~Sophie
So… pretty much, you mail in 50 of your recipes. Scan My Recipes scans, retypes and stores your recipes for you and then puts them in a private account for you to access (think grandma’s prized pie recipe that is scribbled down on yellowed crumbling paper). Then they mail your recipes back to you.
Any takers?
(Please leave your blog or email address so I have a way to contact you.)
I’ll leave this open for a week and then pick someone at random.
Good Luck! ~CKC

Awww, shucks Carrie! Thanks! But this is what I get for dropping the ball! I just got the same award yesterday and was gonna award it to you and Susan! (DUH!) Now I have to think up new people to give it to! Can a baker ever have to many awards? NAH! Not a chance!
Awww…thanks so much Carrie! I am thrilled beyond belief that you think so highly of me! That is reward enough in and of itself, but I’ll gladly take this art pico award and display it with pride! (((hugs)))
